Last month, Honda unveiled the NeuV (pronounced "new-V") concept vehicle at the 2017 CES in Las Vegas. The NeuV (New Electric Urban Vehicle) explores how owners can get added value from their vehicle when they're not using it.
Since private vehicles sit unused for about 96 percent of the day, the NeuV was designed to take advantage of this idle time and function as an automated ride-sharing vehicle that picks local customers up and drops them off. The NeuV can also sell its stored energy back to the electric grid when it's not in use and demand is high.
The vehicle also uses an "emotion engine" to serve as a helpful AI assistant, learning the driver's driving patterns and offering new choices and recommendations based upon previous decisions. HANA (Honda Automated Network Assistant) can even make music recommendations based on the driver's mood.
