In the compact sedan segment, the Honda Civic has always represented a benchmark of sorts. It defined the market's standards for gas mileage, innovation, and design. Now in its tenth generation, it hasn't merely managed to do that again, but has also made some pretty impressive inroads with drivers in the short six months it's been on sale.

The ninth generation Civic that preceded it always sold well, and posted an impressive 28,380 units in April of last year. For 2016, however, Honda's new star net 35,331 units, more than the Accord and CR-V, Honda's other all-stars. But the Civic didn't just one-up its stablemates, but also competing models. It also out-sold one of America's most popular midsize sedans in April, as well (can you guess which one we mean?).

Here at Steve Hopkins Honda, we believe there's a story behind every statistic, and the stories we here from the owners of the new Civics we've sold are all happy ones.
