Last month, a big celebration was buzzing in Tallapoosa, Georgia. May 12, 2016 marked the 10 year anniversary of transmission production at Honda Precision Parts of Georgia, LLC (HPPG). The facility began manufacturing transmissions in 2006, when it employed 179 associates. Now, HPPG has over 500 associates, and can build 375,000 transmissions annually.

HPPG has already hit several landmark achievements. Back in 2010, its one-millionth transmission was manufactured. Two years later, it upgraded from the original five-speed transmissions, to building the newer six-speed transmissions for the Honda Odyssey, Pilot, and Ridgeline.

"We have made great strides during the last decade and our associates have been a driving force for our success here in Tallapoosa," said Masahiko Kayama, president at HPPG. "Our future is bright and we look forward to sharing even more accomplishments with our associates and the local community as we continue to make high quality products for our customers."
