Here at Steve Hopkins Honda, we always are on the lookout for the latest news to share with our loyal fans and drivers on our blog. Today's news is particularly exciting because it has to do with a model that has not yet made its scheduled debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but has been teased ahead of time.

It's called the Honda Civic Type R Concept and is a hatchback model that is designed for racing on the roads. No official powertrain information has been released but it expected that the model will features the brand's turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC 4-cylinder "Earth Dreams" engine which could generate up to 300 horsepower.

In terms of design, the Honda Civic Type R Concept is based off of the Civic that you'll currently find in dealerships, but adds new features like a modern taillight scheme that is built into the model's distinctive rear spoiler. Also prominently featured is a rear diffuser with large quad pipes and amplified arches for a more aggressive look.

Currently, this speedy unit is only planned for release in Europe, but we'll continue to have our fingers crossed that the automaker changes its mind and will be sure to keep you updated here on our blog, so be sure to subscribe through your RSS feed.
