We are winding down the year just as we are starting a new month, and this means that it is time for the latest sales reports for the Honda brand. Frequent sales figures are not only indicative of which models and technologies are the most popular with drivers in the Vallejo, CA and beyond, they are also useful in helping potential buyers select a new model to meet their driving needs.
Last month was one of success for the Japanese automaker thanks to the sales of 116,507 new Honda models in the U.S. This puts the brand's year-to-date sales up to 1,390,057, which is an increase of 7.8 percent over the previous year.
Vastly contributing to the brand's sales figures for November is the Honda CR-V with 23,509 models being moved off of U.S. dealerships. This not only shows a gain of 5.3 year-over-year, but also marks the second consecutive monthly record for the CUV and puts it on track to being the top-selling compact crossover of the year.
"With our second-best-ever November sales, we likely extended our retail sales lead despite very aggressive market actions by competitors in key high volume segments," says John Mendel, executive vice president of sales at American Honda. "And we're upping the ante as we approach the close of the year with a significantly updated 2014 Civic going on sale in just a few days."
In fact, this revamped 2014 Honda Civic will be arriving in our Fairfield, CA showroom shortly featuring a new and more stylish exterior than ever before alongside of more advanced technology.
