Already a fan of the urban Honda Fit hatchback? Well, you're in luck. Company officials have just confirmed the addition of two new body styles to the stylish Fit family: a sedan and crossover.
Based off the notion that bigger isn't necessarily better these days, Honda has decided it's time to place greater focus on its compact lineup. Set to be built at the brand's new manufacturing facility in Mexico, the Honda Fit trio (hatchback, sedan, and crossover) will officially come to fruition in 2014 in conjunction with the plant's opening. Where does Honda expect to sell these fresh Fit options? Execs can't say for sure right now. However, according to MSN Autos, "Honda President Takanobu Ito told Automotive News the vast majority of the plant's output would got to the United States."1

As for design, industry experts say that the Fit-based crossover variant will likely take styling cues from the Brazil-based Honda Fit Twist. This model has a larger presence than a hatch as well as a more aggressive front end.
